LAUNCHING 2027

AUTONOMY-1

The first autonomous space mission, powered by Solo.

THE FIRST FULL-SCALE FLIGHT DEMONSTRATION OF SOLO

Mission Type

Fully autonomous mission, zero ground commands after separation

COMMS

One-way telemetry and science data, no uplink

PAYLOAD

COMPASS (NASA Goddard)

MISSION PROFILE

Autonomy-1 will be the first full-scale flight demonstration of Solo. Launching aboard the first flight of Stoke Space's Nova Pathfinder launch vehicle, it will be the first space mission to complete its entire mission after separation without a single command uplinked from the ground. The spacecraft will stay in one-way communication with Earth, transmitting telemetry and science data while also carrying COMPASS, a NASA Goddard heliophysics payload.

PAYLOAD

Autonomy-1 will carry COMPASS, a NASA Goddard heliophysics instrument designed to measure the solar wind and study the space environment between Earth and the Sun. Solo will operate the science payload autonomously alongside the spacecraft itself.
